Good to know
Is the Excel file accepted by the tax authority?
The file records each trip's date, odometer readings, route, reason and business or private distance, which is the information tax authorities such as SARS ask for in a travel logbook. Check your own tax authority's current requirements, or ask your accountant. If your tax authority has different requirements, please contact us at ceo@headstartconsult.co.za and we will see whether we can accommodate them.
Can I use it for more than one vehicle?
Yes. The Professional version handles up to 10 vehicles, each with its own setup, trips and Excel file.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your trips are only on your phone, so save an Excel copy regularly, for example after each day's trips. On a new phone, import that file and carry on where you left off.
Does it work outside South Africa?
Yes. Choose kilometres or miles and the day your tax year ends. Prices on Google Play appear in your own currency.
Is there an iPhone version?
Android comes first, through Google Play. You can already use the app in any phone's web browser with the "Try it in your browser" button.
